好像一切都很糟糕
Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 首都消失
这部灾难影片背景以现代日本为中心，主要描写东京突然被一股莫名的浓雾所笼罩，整个都会好像一下子消失了似的，各地政府及科研人员因此极为震惊，急忙组织起来研究对策。但是人们却无法穿越浓雾进入东京首都圈。这场浓雾形成了一个无法穿越的电磁屏障。而圈外的科学家们则在受损严重的军用侦察机上得到灵感，利用即将到来的台风和雷暴雨，加上人工大功率电磁干扰机，终于化解了这场戏剧般的非自然危机。 这原本该是一个不错的富有戏剧张力的构思，但拍出来的片子却教人不敢叫好，剧中女记者的角色刻划不具感染力，而她和男记者之间时好时坏的关系描写也让人感觉莫名其妙，确是让观众感觉象一场雾。
