丈母娘的诱惑

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　江继威（吴奇隆饰）和洪欣欣（杨采妮饰）同在七夕节去月老庙求姻缘，江继威对外表清纯的张小盈（张庭饰）一见钟情，却因失神撞了想要偷拿红绳的欣欣，恼火的欣欣旋即对其展开“报复”行为，两人变成见面就吵的冤家。　　两星期后，欣欣在戏台上吊嗓时，却看见了江继威的鬼魂，原来江继威上了张小盈的当，被卷入抢劫案中继而被灭口。不甘心的江继威借助电线回到阳间，且歪打正着跑到欣欣所在的剧院。他希望欣欣可以帮他回到过去，挽回自己被杀的命运。欣欣最终经不住江继威的恳求，和他一起回到了两星期前。
